I have a team of carefully selected facilitators that I use to help me run the various classes that I offer at Blue Kangaroo Baby Classes.
Each facilitator has been specifically chosen because of their qualifications and possibly more importantly, because their commitment to providing excellent quality, fun and interactive classes matches mine. In short, I can guarantee you will be in very good hands!
All facilitators are fully qualified, insured and licensed to practice whichever course they are running.
Dawn Potter – Certified Infant Massage Instructor
I am a mother of two and a grandmother of one and have been working with children and families for the past 30 years.
I spent fifteen of those years working in a Montessori Nursery teaching children from 2.5 years to 5 years and then worked for ten years within the Ashford district children’s centres as a community involvement worker. Later in my career I worked as a family support worker specialising in postnatal depression and healthy eating ideas.
I have been a qualified baby massage instructor since April 2010 and have been running regular classes in children’s centres up to June 2016. I am currently working independently across the Ashford and Tenterden areas. I trained at St Thomas hospital in London.
Christine Blowers – Certified Infant Massage Instructor
Californian by birth, my passion for infant massage stems from my joy of teaching and enhancing the experience of Yoga through massage. Teaching infant massage as a Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI) with the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) has been a part of my life for over 3 years. My love for Yoga and womb-focused Yoga has developed over the last 4 years through instructing Pregnancy Yoga, Mum & Baby Yoga and Yoga for Women. Training as an accredited and qualified 300-hr British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) Yoga Instructor at Triyoga with Jeff Phenix and Susannah Hoffman and specializing at YogaBirth with Judy Cameron has instilled a foundation of teaching excellence in all my classes. Currently I am instructing classes in and around Mid-West Kent with a studio located in the beautiful market-town of West Malling.
Infant massage and Yoga have both acted as a source of inspiration for my daily life with my beautiful toddler daughter. With gratitude I am influenced by my infant massage teacher trainer, Sylvie Hetú, and I bring to my classes a kindness, light-heartedness, and teaching style that allows parents and babies to explore their experience and the benefits of the nurturing touch in their own journey of creating the parent/child bond. My focus is creating opportunities for parents to not only participate in classes and socialize with one another, but to share their infant massage learnings with their partners or baby’s other primary caregivers.
Louise Ward – Certified Infant Massage Instructor
My love of infant massage began when I attended classes with my daughters and I have continued to use and adapt my skills as my children have grown. I firmly believe that it has helped us maintain a very strong bond and open communication over the years and that infant massage is a wonderful introduction to nurturing touch. I have my own holistic therapy practice in Deal and offer a range of treatments including clinical massage, pregnancy massage and aromatherapy. I wanted to share my love of massage with other parents and became a Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI) with the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) in 2016. I trained with Kate Pigeon-Owen who strongly underpinned my belief that the parent is the expert of their own child. I like to create a relaxed, baby-led environment where parents can learn, socialise with each other and share their experiences. I also encourage those attending the classes to involve partners and primary caregivers. I work independently in South East Kent with individuals and small groups.
